Development and Alumni
We are responsible both for initiating and developing ongoing meaningful relationships with alumni (former students) and friends of the University of Brighton and also for the generation of philanthropic income from a range of external sources to help support the current priorities and future ambitions of the institution.
The collective term 'alumni' is used to describe the constituency of former students of the University of Brighton, Brighton Polytechnic and its associated colleges. The term 'friends' is used to refer to all other individuals and organisations with an interest in or association with the University of Brighton.
As part of our alumni engagement activities, we manage the Alumni Association . Via the association, we offer a range of benefits and services to our graduates worldwide and also produce an annual magazine which is sent to all contactable alumni across the world and also to our growing community of friends.
We provide a point of contact between former students and the university, helping graduates keep in touch with the university as well as with each other.
We can provide organisational support for faculties and schools wishing to interact and engage with their alumni. In addition, we are responsible for coordinating fundraising and sponsorship activities across the institution with the objective of increasing the levels of philanthropic income received.
