Business Development and Enterprise

The business development and enterprise team is responsible for developing the work of the university into beneficial partnerships with business and public service organisations.

The team connects all kinds of organisations with the services and facilities the university has to offer which include:

  • specialist training and education
  • research and consultancy
  • knowledge transfer programs
  • intellectual property management and licensing
  • practical support for small and medium sized enterprises
  • enterprise development among students and alumni.

Our business development managers have sector-specific expertise to help colleagues in approaching external partners, and help businesses find practical solutions to meet the challenges they face.

Profitnet

Profitnet is the university's business development and support programme for small and medium enterprises. Profitnet has helped over 1,000 businesses in the UK and Ireland and is now available under license to other organisations and HE institutions to enable them to support their local business community.
