Sport and Recreation Service
The Sport and Recreation Service work with the Students' Union, under the Sport Brighton banner, to meet the sport, exercise and recreation needs of students and staff. Our work can be divided into two areas:
- sport development, providing sporting and health related activity and opportunity
- facility management and development.
Working with local, regional and national sports organisations, the service aims to secure a regional sporting role for the university. This includes our Eastbourne site being recognised as a sub regional centre of the English Institute of Sport – providing support to elite athletes and office space for various organisations to create a Sport Development Unit on the university Falmer site.
