Halls of residence: Varley Park

Varley Park is our largest halls of residence and is approximately four miles from Brighton city centre. It is between the Falmer and Moulsecoomb campuses. These halls are being redeveloped with the current phase of work due to be complete for summer 2013.

Post for Framfield, Selsey, Kingston and Chalvington Close is delivered to individual flats, except for parcels and registered post which are delivered to reception. All post for the other halls is delivered to reception and distributed to the mail racks in the halls.

Transport at Varley Park

Bicycles: Bicycle storage is available. Spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis. Bicycles are not allowed inside the halls.

Cars: There is no designated car parking for halls residents (except for registered disabled users) and you must not bring your car to halls.

Public transport: There is a bus stop on site and another near the site entrance both which have regular bus services to Brighton city centre via the Moulsecoomb campus.

Hub Building

The Hub Building is the main building at Varley Park. The Hub provides accommodation, a restaurant, fitness suite and laundrette for everyone at Varley Park.

The top three floors provide a mixture of single and double study bedrooms finished to a high specification. There is also dedicated conference rooms and a cafe on the ground floor, with a restaurant and more meeting space on the first floor. Offices, a fitness suite and a laundrette, are also provided.

The brand new Woodland and Downland buildings opened for the start of the 2012/13 academic year. They contain single en-suite study bedrooms based in clusters of up to eight sharing a kitchen and communal space.

The brand new Cliffe and Firle buildings will open for the start of the 2013/14  academic year. They contain single study bedrooms based in clusters of up to eight sharing a kitchen and communal space.

Bedrooms in Firle House are ensuite, on Cliffe House bathroom facilities are shared.
