University-managed flats and houses

Unihomes are privately owned houses and flats that are managed for the owners by the university. The university currently has around 300 rooms in unihomes, and you sign a contract for the room with the university and pay your rent directly to us.

How big are unihomes?

The scheme allows groups of up to six students to live together in houses and flats. Houses usually comprise four to five bedrooms with shared bathroom facilities, kitchen and communal areas, but we do sometimes have smaller properties available. Rooms vary in size.

Who can apply for unihomes?

You must be a full-time student at the University of Brighton to apply for a room. First-year students can apply for a room through the accommodation application process

There are sometimes vacancies for returning students and these are advertised on Studentpad.

What do unihomes cost?

Rents are competitive and include broadband and personal contents insurance up to £4,000 per student. Rooms are let on individual contracts which begin in September.
