The Pyrus Trust Bursary Award scheme

If you have ever been in the care of a local authority (or similar) as a child or young person, at any point in your life and for any length of time, you are invited to apply for a non-repayable award of £350 to help support you during your final year of study.  You may have come straight to university from care or have left care some years ago.

Students due to enter their final year of any undergraduate course in September 2012 are eligible to apply for these awards although if there are more applicants than awards available, priority will be given to those on creative arts courses.

The deadline for applications is Friday 1 June 2012 and the successful students will be notified by the end of the term.  If successful, payment of the award will be made at the start of the autumn term.
