Telephone Campaign Spring 2011

In the spring term 2011, we ran our third in-house telephone campaign, raising money for a number of areas of the university to support students. Current students from each school called alumni to find out what they’re doing now, to tell them about recent developments in their area of study and to raise money for school/faculty/Students’ Union-specific Alumni and Friends Funds.

In six weeks, 22 students asked 2984 graduates if they would like to support current students in their area of study through the fund, resulting in 420 graduates pledging £46,538 to the university. 191 of these donated, raising £33,746.

Many graduates gained a great deal from their time at university and are happy to give something back by contributing to the Alumni and Friends fund to support students at the university. If you’re one of them, please donate online

All the students in this year’s team have very kindly donated £5 to support our Fiver for the Future campaign, which is raising money to support students through projects facilitated by the Students’ Union. Find out more about  Fiver for the Future

We are extremely grateful to the following local organisations for very kindly supporting our students by donating some fantastic motivational prizes to our student calling team, including: wakeboarding, kayaking and quad biking sessions; meals for two; free rides on Brighton Pier for a day, haircuts and much more. A huge thank you to the following organisations:
