Colophon donates font for graduate show
One of the fonts used in the poster campaign for this year's graduate show was kindly donated by Brighton alumni, Anthony Sheret and Edd Harrington. Both studied Graphic Design BA(Hons) at the Faculty of Arts and now work together at their Brighton studio 'The Entente'.

Operating under the business name, Colophon Foundry , Anthony and Edd set-up studio in university (both a design studio and independent digital type foundry) and continue to run both to this day. They mostly work for cultural clients such as Photoworks, Chaumont International Festival of Graphic Design, Zabludowicz Collection and LAW magazine. Their commercially released fonts have been used by Facebook, MOMA, Sir Paul McCartney, Walker Art Center and Zeit Magazine.
Colophon’s donation demonstrates a great example of how alumni help current students through the Alumni Advice Network. Anthony and Edd generously waived the fee for the one-off use of the font to support current students as they prepared the publicity materials for the graduate show.
Asked if they would recommend the course to prospective students, they replied: “We believe that Brighton is a great city to be a student in and the course offers exciting opportunities to develop your work.”
