News and events from the Alumni Association
Spring is here and we are looking forward to Brighton’s major arts events, the Brighton Festival and Brighton Fringe 2012, which offer discounts to our university community. If you’re planning a visit, perhaps you might also want to book affordable accommodation at our halls? Do take advantage of the benefits and services pages to make the most of your stay.
Fortunately the good weather was with our cyclists when they undertook the sponsored bike ride for the Southern African Scholarship on Sunday 11 March. With over £4,000 raised already, we can still take donations until 5 April.
Most of us like a trip down memory lane which is one reason why we want to thank everyone who has submitted memories and pictures for our Bygone Brighton oral history project. But we still want to hear from more of you! This month’s topic is ‘your favourite haunts’. What building or place was particularly resonant for you? Perhaps it was a uni building or maybe a bar you used to meet at. Do share your memories with us – memories@brighton.ac.uk.
