Liz Gray

Liz has made a significant contribution to teaching, learning and cultural partnerships and collaborations with the University of Brighton.
Liz has worked for the Open University 28 years, eventually becoming the south-east regional director. In that capacity she has worked tirelessly to support partnership working involving the University of Brighton. She has been a direct contributor to Aimhigher Sussex, the Sussex Learning Network and the formation of a multi-university that became the Hastings campus of the University of Brighton.

She has been a contributor to the formation of Learning Opportunities in the south-east and the Centre for Work and Learning. She has played a full role in supporting partnerships with further education colleges; she served on the board of Northbrook College and is presently a member of the board of Central Sussex College.

She has ensured that the Open University has been associated with a long-term commitment to the major significant cultural events most notably the Brighton and Chichester Festivals.
