Essays and assignments

The types of assignment you'll be expected to submit will vary according to your course. The most common types of assignment are:

  • Dissertations
• Seminar presentations
• Poster presentations
• Practical work

Use the sections on reading and notemaking to help you gather material and develop and organise your ideas.

As well as individual assignments, group work projects will also be an important element in most courses, to give you opportunities to learn how to work effectively as part of a team.
