Dr. Clifford Conway runs a small business, carries out research in the area of enterprise and works closely with entrepreneurs though the local chamber of commerce (www.businessinbrighton.org.uk), having also been its president for several years. He has taught entrepreneurship for several years at all academic levels and helped pioneer the development of enterprise programmes at Brighton including an innovative social enterprise programme. He works with the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship delivering workshops for their 'flying start' programme (www.flyingstartonline.com) aimed at encouraging university students to develop their entrepreneurial abilities as well as supporting the University of Brighton's own Beepurple programme which has similar objectives (http://www.beepurple.co.uk).
