Course structure

The Level 5 Diploma is a 12 month programme which runs one day a week throughout the academic year.

The CMI programmes are mainly workshop style delivered sessions, around which provision is made for an active support network which has significant benefits for sharing ideas, concepts and workplace experiences. This support network takes the style of Action Learning Sets, which effectively creates a number of dynamic problem solving teams within the main cohort group. Some assessments are also undertaken as collaborative pieces of work in these Action Learning Sets.

Our programme offesr

  • weekly workshops incorporating small group exercises
  • assessment by mainly work related assignments
  • an emphasis on practical application and skills development.
  • tutorial support
  • access to management qualifications on the basis of experience rather than a formal qualification.

A progression route is also available to part-time Masters of Business Administration (MBA). This is an initiative that would provide an entry level qualification to the MBA and enable successful Diploma students to enrol onto the MBA programme after completing the CMI Diploma.

The opportunity also exists for individuals to become 'Chartered Manager' candidates with the CMI with a view to achieving 'Chartered Manager' designation with the CMI.
