Jenny Knight
Course leader
Jenny Knight has 12 years' experience of working as a successful management consultant, focusing on developing leadership behaviours and skills within organisations. She has worked with national and international organisations in the public and private sector.
Prior to joining the University of Brighton, Jenny worked in organisational development in the public sector in London and the South East. Her last position was Senior HR Development Manager responsible for leadership development for a large local authority. Prior to her work in organisational development she worked on the front line as a Housing Advice Worker in London.
Jenny's PhD was a case study of a public sector organisation, entitled 'The Persistence of Group Helplessness in the Workplace'. She continues to write journal articles focusing on culture and climate in the public sector. She has a great deal of experience of providing coaching and mentoring and facilitating action learning sets, as well as working in areas of conflict and disagreement within organisations.
