Placement
The placement year is taken between the second and final study years. It allows you to apply your accumulated skills in paid employment and gain valuable hands-on experience. It also helps you to build industry contacts that will be invaluable when you graduate. Placement companies often make job offers to students, and students' work experience is a key feature in attracting other employers.
We support our students in finding suitable placements. We have a placements office which acts as a link between employers and students, providing information about placements and arranging interviews opportunities.
The marketing placement opportunities have been established for over 30 years and the university has an excellent reputation with local, national and international employers. The work and contribution of our students is valued highly by employers like IBM, Hewlett Packard, Roche, Channel 4, Rolls Royce Motor Cars, MTV, Sky Media, Microsoft, First Choice PLC, Coty, Fidessa and Estee Lauder who regularly employ students in one year paid marketing positions.
