According to the Research Assessment Exercise (2008):
- 70% of our business and management research is of international standing or higher
- 20% of our business and management research received the top 4-star rating
- This places us in the top 15 UK Business Schools (based on the proportion of our research output classed as world-leading research)

Addressing real-world issues
We have excellent working relationships with the wider research community and we work closely with external institutions and commercial businesses, translating our research into practice. As well as making a meaningful contribution to business and management practices, our research ensures our courses are up-to-date, interesting and relevant.
Our Centre for Research in Innovation Management (CENTRIM) is one of the world's 10 leading innovation research groups (IJP 2006), and one of the four leading UK university centres in innovation management (NESTA 2007). The Centre for Research on Management and Employment (CROME) is working to bridge professional and academic knowledge on managing change at work and in employment.
