Brighton Business School is launching a series of talks by inspirational leaders, with speakers drawn from the university's alumni and friends.
The first speaker is Brighton graduate Jill McDonald, whose views on university education have been published recently in national newspapers.
Jill is Chief Executive Officer and President of McDonald's UK, and President of the Northern Division for McDonald's Europe. She will be discussing her insights into working for large multinational companies, and her role in the extraordinary turnaround of McDonald's.
Jill took the helm of McDonald's in August 2010, after joining the business in 2006 as Chief Marketing Officer. She has had a huge influence on the restaurant chain. She has become the public face of the brand in the UK and is regularly seen in the media discussing the brand's commitments to food quality and corporate social responsibility. Her achievements were recognised when was named the UK's top marketer at the 2008 Marketing Society Awards for Excellence.
