Open courses

View our open course calendar below for course dates and times

The open courses run by the University of Brighton are specifically designed to meet the needs of business and industry, complementing your experience or that of your employees.

Courses are taught by experienced teams, drawing on experts from both within and outside the University of Brighton, and are backed by the university's quality assurance processes.

Our open courses can also be a means for your employees to work towards university qualifications. A number of our open courses are credit-bearing, and participants who successfully complete the optional assessments will be eligible for masters-level CATS (Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme) points.

Stand-alone masters modules

To help you to keep up to date with developments in your specialist areas, many of the modules that make up our masters-level courses can also be taken as individual professional development modules. You can search for part-time postgraduate certificate (PGCert) and postgraduate diploma (PGDip) courses using our course finder.

Information and advice for your staff

The university also provides support and advice for individuals who are considering university-level education, but need help in finding an appropriate route, through Learning Opportunities in the South East.
