Who can use our services

Our web resources are available to anyone who needs support in developing their career. However, our individual services, including careers counselling, are only available to:

  • Current students and staff of the University of Brighton
  • Graduates of the University of Brighton
(Graduates who qualified more than two years ago access one-to-one guidance via our Alumni Career Development Adviser)
  • Students of colleges affiliated to the University of Brighton
  • Students registered at other higher education institutions in the UK can access one-to-one support services for up to two years after you graduate.
  • Active Student is open only to all current students at this university.

Unfortunately if you are not a British citizen and you studied outside of the UK, you are not eligible for individual assistance.

Contact us by phone or email if you cannot visit us in person. We may be able to help you immediately or suggest an alternative solution.

A part of Student Services

The Careers Service is a part of the University of Brighton Student Services department. For further information on what students can expect from us, including making a complaint, see the Student Services Statement of Service (pdf).

We work with employers, recruitment agencies and the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS), and the National Association of Student Employment Services (NASES) to ensure best practice in recruitment.
