beepurple - enterprise skills

Beepurple is the university’s entrepreneurship network, made up of students, graduates and staff who are interested in developing their enterprise skills and/or their business ideas.  Many of our members are already self-employed or have set up their own companies. By taking part in beepurple activities, you will meet like-minded people, hear how other recent graduates have setup their own ventures and gain key enterprise skills that will help you stand out from the crowd.

What is 'beepurple'?

'Beepurple' is a colour on the ultraviolet scale discovered by the scientist Karl von Frisch.  Bees are one of the few creatures who can see this colour, which is transmitted by flowers that have pollen ready for harvesting.  This became known as 'bee purple' and we think this reflects the idea that entrepreneurs see opportunities that others do not.
