The awards

Our annual ideas competition usually runs between February until May, culminating with presentation of the awards at an event in June that is open to the local business community.

Aside from the opportunity of sitting down and trying to rationalise and focus your idea, the competition is a chance for you to gain start-up funding, courtesy of Santander Universities  and access a great package of support provided by a range of local businesses which include everything from business cards to mentors.

Past entrants have gone on to be short listed in national competitions, such as the British Female Inventor and Innovator of the Year and Metro’s Venture Candy awards.
