Finance and Accountancy
Careers Forum

In February 2013 a panel of finance and accountancy professionals talked about their careers. This biennial event, in association with the Brighton Business School, offered students the opportunity to find out about routes into the profession and the realities of working within it: how they prepared for employment/next steps after their degree, why they choose their current path, what their job entails and practical advice on how to get on in the industry.

The panel:

  • Will Dempster, Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
  • Sam Baker, OSTC: Partner (Trading)
  • Alistair Moffatt, University of Hertfordshire: Director of Finance
  • Graham Little, Toshiba Medical Systems Ltd: Chief Financial Officer
  • Becky Pett, Chartered Accountants, Knill James: Senior Audit Manager
  • Tanya Wadey, American Express: Financial Analyst.
