We have experienced careers counsellors at the university careers centres to discuss any issue you might have with your future careers plans. You can email, telephone or visit us to make an appointment.
Whether you are unsure of what career path you would like to follow, or you need to change courses for your chosen career, our experienced counsellors can help you. We will work with you to discover the possible options your degree opens to you. Whatever the situation, you will be treated as an individual and be given the space and time to think through which options suit you best.

Your CV, applications and interview are the first impression you give a potential employer. At the Careers Service, we help you to prepare yourself for interviews and submit effective applications. We can set up a mock interview for your to practise, and give you feedback on your CV or application before you send it. Make an appointment or drop in and see us.

Placements might be a course requirement, in which case your placements team will help you find something that must suits your skills and course. However, if you want to do a specific placement or an internship to develop you skills we will help you find opportunities and support you throughout the application and interview process.

Our Momentum mentoring programme is an excellent way for you to gain knowledge, confidence and skills from members of the business community. Participating in the Momentum programme improves your employability skills and allows you to network with employers and other students.
The programme is open to all University of Brighton students.
Our Active Student service co-ordinates and organises volunteering opportunities for students.
Beepurple is the University of Brighton's entrepreneurship network, encouraging and supporting both students and local businesses to develop their business ideas.
As well as having an online database of vacancies, we also have a number of other resources to help you find suitable jobs - both graduate jobs, and part-time vacancies.
We hold a number of events each year. These include careers fairs, forums and training workshops.
The Careers Service runs employability skills programmes. These are designed to develop your career plans and build the skills you will need in the workplace.
We are work with both local and national employers to help raise companies' profiles amongst our students and to support them in recruiting our graduates.
