Property

How do I get into it?

You might have a degree in estate management, building surveying and construction management. This is the most straightforward route – working in property is the next logical step after a related degree.

Some firms only recruit graduates who have done a property-related degree but this isn’t always the case.

Note that your degree must be accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) if you want to become chartered. And if you want to get anywhere in the profession, you’re going to need to be chartered..

Having work experience, not necessarily directly related to the sector, will help applications for jobs.
