KTP Associates Conference 2012

One-day conference held at the University of Brighton on Thursday 14 June 2012

The 2012 KTP Associates Conference in Brighton was a great opportunity for KTP Associates to get together and exchange their experiences of delivering innovation and strategic change.

The one-day conference featured 14 paper presentations and 9 poster presentations on a broad range of topics across a range of sectors, and was an excellent networking event.

Our keynote speaker was former Associate Gaynor Heys, now a Senior Global Product Manager with Adidas

Ms Gaynor Heys, now a Senior Global Product Manager with Adidas, reflected on her KTP experiences with Grays of Cambridge (International) Ltd in 2007 and how it had impacted on her career.  It was a real highlight of the day, with attendees describing her talk as “inspiring” and “insightful”.

Congratulations were given to the best paper and best poster winners:

The KTP Associates Conference was a great opportunity to meet other KTP Associates and to find out about other KTP projects in the country. The presentations were inspiring and showed the breath of organizations and institutions that embrace the idea of transference of knowledge as means to create impact on competitiveness and productivity.  The event was a great opportunity to present my KTP project to a new audience and to network.  Getting a prize was terribly exciting as mine being the first Fine Art practice based KTP in the country I specially appreciated the fact that the judges believed mine was one of the presentations worth an award.

What our conference delegates have to say:

The KTP Associates event was a brilliant opportunity to engage with other KTP associates and gain more insight into some of the fascinating KTP projects that are taking place. From a personal perspective it was particularly useful to meet other associates and supervisors and discuss ideas with people from different professional backgrounds and areas of expertise.

The conference offered the opportunity to network with the delegates and other associates in a very friendly atmosphere. The papers and posters presented were of high quality and it helped me to better appreciate other KTP projects
