- Lectures in microcontrollers, control and DSP at undergraduate level , aspects of engine electronics at masters level
- Chartered Engineer, Member of the IET
- Research interests are in areas that use signal processing, currently audio and virtual sensing
- Involved in managing the school's timetables and teaching resources and marketing
- Joined the University of Brighton in 1981
