Are you looking to change your career, or to upgrade your existing IT skills? In one year this masters degree course in Information Systems produces employable Information Technology professionals with an emphasis on business and systems analysis.
Perhaps your first degree is not in computing but you would like to work in the IT industry, or your first degree may be in information technology but you would like to develop a more business facing career. Alternatively, you may have a lot of professional IT experience but would like a qualification to further your career.
Flexible study
The course is flexible and can be studied full-time or part-time. The taught part of the course consists of a number of individual core and optional modules. Most of the modules are taught over a 15 week semester and include teaching, independent study and assessment. The course culminates in a three month project in industry.

Business and Information Systems
The business context of information systems.
Systems Analysis and Design
The specification and design of information systems.
Application Building
Databases and web programming
Research Methods
Students undertake an in-depth investigation into the current research in a particular area of computing.
Enabling Technologies (elective)
IT, networking and web technology.
Project management (elective)
Planning and management of a project to produce a software product.
Project
12 weeks in industry operating as an IT professional producing real deliverables.
