Cross-channel Centre for Low-carbon Combustion - C5 (Intelligent Systems Section)

The figure shows a set of Voltage results for a gas sensor, when exposed to a range of Biodiesel/Diesel concentrations.

Summary

This sub-project is part of the wider Cross-channel Centre for Low-carbon Combustion (C5) project, managed, at the UK end, by the SHRL research group. The aim of the Intelligent Systems Section of the larger C5 project is to apply novel monitoring techniques to the problem of improving the combustion within Diesel engines. This is being achieved using combinations of sensors and intelligent systems in new roles.
