Abstract
This research seminar is a meta-research seminar of past research on diversity in media content (Masouras, A., Diversity in TV Programming: The Case of Greece, e-book, Research Institute of Applied Communication, Cyprus 2008).
Through reviewing previous research on diversity in media content, this research seminar would provide a suggestion for future research on programme typology issues. Moreover, it is necessary to establish a basis for some methodological assumptions.
For example, as the review of literature indicated, while several studies have shown that programme diversity has declined dramatically, none of the studies can be compared directly because of differing methods used in the categorising of programmes.
