Bookmark and Share

The University of Brighton’s pioneering football 4 peace project in Israel will celebrate its tenth anniversary this summer. Planning is well underway as Professor John Sugden, Dr Gary Stidder and Graham Spacey met with the British Council and Israeli Sport Authority in order to prepare for this summer’s event. The University of Brighton team met with key partners in Nazareth, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as well as making visits to the Bedouin communities in the south and to Bethlehem University in the West Bank. This year the project will run in two phases between June 26th and July 9th involving sixteen hundred Arab and Jewish boys and girls, fifty UK and German volunteers as well as over one hundred Israeli community sports coaches.
