Olympic Connections

Discover the real stories behind the Olympic and Paralympic Games. A ‘question-time’ style panel will show the personal and inside stories behind competing and coaching. Featuring Chelsea staff, alumni and friends who have been Olympic athletes, coaches and scientists from Montreal 1976 to Beijing 2008 and onto London 2012.
The panel will include:
Dr Steve Ingham - Head of Physiology at the English Institute of Sport.
Dr Gary Brickley – Chelsea School Senior Lecturer and coach to the British Paralympic cycling team.
Darren Kenny OBE - One of the world’s elite Paralympic cyclists with six gold medals and multiple world records.
Kate Allenby –Bronze medal winner at Sydney 2000 and also competed at Athens 2004.
Gill Clarke – Hockey umpire at Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000.
Penny Yule – Competed in the 1500 metres at the 1976 Montreal.
Glenn Cook – Great Britain junior triathlon squad coach and former UK and European triathlon champion.
Hillbrow Lecture Theatre, Chelsea School, Eastbourne.
