Introduction

All courses and workshops offered by the Centre for Learning and Teaching are open to University of Brighton staff and colleagues in partner colleges teaching on University validated courses.

The PG Certificate in Learning and Teaching in HE and the MA Education (Higher Education) are award-bearing Masters level courses. We also offer a number of shorter courses designed to support specific aspects of academic practice. These normally consist of linked workshops which can be attended on a free standing basis, or may be undertaken as credit-bearing Masters level modules with the completion of additional assessment tasks. The University is currently piloting a new Professional Development and Recognition Scheme which will integrate our current range of course, modules and support for professional development into a single framework encompassing all four levels of the UK Professional Standards Framework (UK PSF) for teaching in higher education.
