Plagiarism
The University has issued a Plagiarism Awareness Pack for staff to use as the basis of a workshop with students at an early stage of each course, to help raise awareness of the issues relating to academic honesty, and the importance of correct referencing.
You can download the current edition of the Plagiarism Awareness Pack via the links on the right.
You may also find the downloadable library activity sheets helpful. These are designed to give students early practice in looking at sources critically as well as recording bibliographic data. They can be adapted for different subject areas using relevant library classmarks and journals .
The University is now registered with the Turnitin UK Plagiarism Detection Service and further details can be found in the Plagiarism pages on staffcentral.
