Community and social engagement

Through courses, research and resources universities have the potential to benefit and help society.

Students and staff at the University of Brighton are committed to developing this potential through working in partnership with our local communities to produce social benefit.

The university’s vision of social engagement is informed by its values of engagement, diversity, participation, collaboration and sustainability and has three distinct strands.

These values are at the heart of the university's three strands of social engagement: community engagement, widening participation and employer engagement.
