Resources for coastal communities

Published 20 June 2011

University of Brighton's Cupp team has taken the lead in compiling and making available the resources produced by a range of major projects for the South East Coastal Communities (SECC) organisation.

The university worked with eight other universities in the south-east coastal area covering Kent, Sussex and Hampshire on the projects which worked in partnership with members of local communities to help build their capacity to meet their health and wellbeing needs.

The projects, which ran from 2008 to 2011, have now completed and Brighton’s Cupp team have produced a major resource which includes project details, a film, four briefing papers on lessons learnt and evaluation reports. These are presented on the Coastal Communities website to explain the approaches taken by the projects and encourage organisations to work effectively with communities - a key strategic priority for the university in-line with the aims of the corporate plan.

The first of the reports has been published and you can download the report from the SECC website.
