Students in the community

Many of our students undertake voluntary work as part of their accredited course curriculum. The project will add value to their degree through both personal development and academic learning. Some also decide to volunteer purely through personal choice.

Here are some examples of our students volunteering:

East Sussex County Council

Finance and accounting students support newly appointed treasurers of Pre-school, nurseries and after school clubs.

Gladrags

Students have been helping to run this Moulsecoomb-based community costume charity since 2005.

Moulsecoomb Primary School

Student volunteers regularly fulfill multiple roles with Moulsecoomb Primary School.

You can find out more about Active Student volunteering on the Careers centre website.

Other ways our students interact with the community:

  • Community participation development module (on the Cupp website)
  • Social enterprise business plan development
  • Small research projects (students undertaking research in community as part of their dissertation project)
