The Sallis Benney Theatre and University of Brighton Gallery provide spaces for top-quality visual and performing arts in the centre of Brighton. Located at the Grand Parade campus, the venues have seen a range of artistic and academic use, featuring world leading artists, performers, guest speakers and academics.

The National Chess Library

The National Chess Library at our Hastings campus is the third largest public chess library in the world. The English Chess Federation collection is open to everyone and may be visited at any time during the library opening hours.

Room hire for meetings and conferences

The university offers convenient, reasonably priced rooms for meetings, seminars and conferences at all of our five campus locations. All have good public transport links as well as parking available.

Childcare

We have two nurseries at the university providing high quality childcare for student, staff and local parents. Both nurseries have been recognised as 'outstanding' by Ofsted.

One World and Phoenix nurseries offer children aged 2-5 a caring and creative environment. Both are open for 45 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, part-time and full-time places are available.
