Brighton - Falmer
Being located on the edge of the South Downs, our Falmer campus is set in picturesque surroundings with lovely views of the beautiful Sussex countryside.
This site is particularly suited for residential conferences during the summer months, day meetings during the weekend or vacation periods.
Mayfield lecture theatre

3 tiered lecture theatres seating 250, 100, 80.
2 halls seating 259, 80.
30 seminar rooms across the campus, with varying capacities from 8 to 55.
Residential accommodation
Split level self-contained flats/maisonettes of up to 8 single en-suite bedrooms (including private shower, WC, wash basin) with shared kitchen/communal area. There are 350 bedrooms in total.
Catering facilities
Westlain Restaurant can seat 200 for a seated buffet or 150 in banqueting style.
Westlain café/bar can seat 50 (sole use).
There are vending machines in Westlain and Mayfield House.
Audio visual
All lecture theatres are fitted with built-in equipment including lectern with microphone, data projector, PC, OHP and screen. Some seminar rooms have ceiling mounted data projectors. Additional equipment is available for hire.
Sports facilities
There are several outdoor playing fields, floodlit tennis courts, 2 indoor gymnasiums and an artificial turf pitch available for hire.
Accessibility
There are some bedrooms on the ground floor adapted for wheelchair users. Some classrooms/lecture theatres are located on the ground floor and are suitable for wheelchair users. Inductions loops are fitted in some classrooms.
Other facilities
Coin operated laundry in the Halls of Residence.
ATM machine in Ringmer House reception.
Parking
There is free car parking on site.
Trains
Falmer has its own train station which is an 8 minute journey from Brighton on the Brighton/Lewes/Hastings line. Falmer station is located at the bottom of the campus and is approximately 10 mins walk from the accommodation.
Buses
There is a bus stop on the campus where the 25 city bus and 43 big lemon bus run to/from the city centre.
