This course is designed for occupational therapists whose professional practice includes a significant amount of time devoted to teaching of students, members of the public and other health care professionals. This route is designed for occupational therapists seeking a Masters qualification but who also desire a formal qualification in education.
Integrated within the university's health and social science graduate programme, the courses provide valuable cross-disciplinary experience through modules shared with other courses in the scheme.

Normally students are advised to start with the core modules to give them a solid grounding in professional studies. Within the core modules, you will reflect on examples from your daily work and the assessment topic is chosen from practice.

Degree and/or experience:
Normally a qualification recognised by the College of Occupational Therapists and the Health Professions Council, plus minimum two years post-registration experience. Accreditation of prior learning available for masters-level credits.
Career opportunities include clinical specialist, consultant occupational therapist, occupational therapy management, general management, clinical educator and occupational therapy education. Opportunities also exist for further study at MPhil and PhD level. Successful completion of this course does not provide registration with the Health Professions Council
The fees listed here are for full-time courses beginning in the academic year 2012-13. Further tuition fees are payable for each subsequent year of study.
