Overview
This course has been accredited by The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as an Overseas Pharmacists' Assessment Programme (OSPAP). It is flexible and interactive with a patient-focused approach including experiential visits to community and hospital pharmacies.

Course content
Course structure
This is a full-time course with a flexible combination of two independent study and four university-based modules. Independent study modules are supported by specifically written module materials and staff-led tutorial sessions. The remaining four modules are a mixture of lectures and skill-based workshops and are run over two days per week at the university.
The total six modules run over two semesters and are of varying lengths.
Areas of study
Study focuses upon new developments in the areas of pharmaceutics, clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice. In addition students explore pharmacy law and ethics, current relevant pharmacy issues and the provision of health care in the UK. There is also an opportunity for students to develop a programme of work to suit their individual requirements.

Satisfactory completion of this course enables the student to undertake pre-registration training and apply for the The General Pharmaceutical Council registration examination with the aim of becoming a UK-registered pharmacist.

The fees listed here are for full-time courses beginning in the academic year 2012-13. Further tuition fees are payable for each subsequent year of study.
The tuition fee you have to pay depends on a number of factors including the kind of course you take, and whether you study full- or part-time.
