Podiatry and Management MSc (PGCert PGDip)

  • Overview

These courses enable practitioners to graduate whilst in full-time employment. One week study blocks allow attendance for students in the UK, EU and elsewhere in the world.

Integrated within the university's health and social science graduate programme, these courses provide valuable cross-disciplinary experience through common modules shared with other courses in the scheme.

Depending upon core and option modules selected, students have the opportunity to further develop clinical expertise in podiatry or undertake education or management routes.

    Course structure

Three one-week modules are normally studied each year, usually separated by eight to twelve weeks. Participants may choose all podiatry options or include interdisciplinary options which may require attendance one day per week rather than week-long study blocks.

The MSc award requires satisfactory completion of three compulsory modules, plus three options and a dissertation. Alternatively, modules may be studied independently, a PGDip awarded on completion of six modules, or a PGCert on completion of three specified modules.

Participants opting for the education or management routes complete three compulsory modules plus three route-specific modules and a dissertation.
