This accelerated course enables graduates from biological sciences, behavioural sciences and other health professions to convert their first degree to a masters degree. The course consists of three, 15-week trimesters per year for two years. Students on this course benefit from sharing some facilities, expertise and learning events with students on other health related courses.

Course structure
Problem-based tutorials, subject specialist resource sessions and skills workshops make up the learning week for campus-based modules. Study focuses on real-life situations, integrating subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, therapeutic skills, behavioural sciences and research methods. Completion of the Project Studies module and the submission of a dissertation lead to the masters award.
Areas of study
The course begins in April and consists of seven campus-based modules and five clinical practice modules. Year 1 is mainly campus-based with core modules in Cardio-respiratory Management, Neuromusculoskeletal Management and Neurology. Year 2 involves mainly clinical practice placements with the campus-based Dissertation Studies running throughout the year. Completion of all modules leads to the MSc in Rehabilitation Science award.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend a selection event comprising a group discussion and an individual interview.

Graduates are equipped for careers in the NHS and the private health sector, both in the UK and abroad. After a period of work experience, they can progress to PhD research programmes and contribute to the evidence base of the profession.
The fees listed here are for full-time courses beginning in the academic year 2012-13. Further tuition fees are payable for each subsequent year of study.
