University of Brighton wins award - MacJannet Prize 2011

We are delighted to announce that the University of Brighton has won 2nd place in the MacJannet Prize, the Talloires award for global citizenship.  

The MacJannet Prize awards exceptional student civic engagement initiatives based in Talloires Network member universities around the world.  

This prize recognizes the excellent student community engagement work that has been developed by Cupp staff and is carried out throughout various schools within the University, for example by offering the Community Participation and Development Module.  

We would like to especially thank our community partners who have supported the development of this programme by offering projects and supervision and all the students who have made this success possible with their determination to contribute to and engage with their local community.

The Award Ceremony will take place at the Talloires Network's Global Leaders conference in Madrid in June 2011.
