Description
This event is a discussion forum, planned in partnership with Women’s Voice in Hastings. It will be one of a number of events taking place across the town to mark International Women’s day on 8th March 2012. The forum will feature inspirational speakers from the local and university community and topics covered will include, Women in Education, Business and Politics, including Cllr Jay Kramer and Cllr Kim Forward. Amber Rudd (MP) has moved her surgery to attend and speak at the event. The event is open to all and one anticipated outcome will be more women accessing educational opportunities via the Hastings Campus. Participants will be encouraged to come along to an open day at the Hastings Campus on the 24th March.

Description
Making your way to Hastings
By bus
There is a National Express coach service operating to Hastings from London Victoria and a local bus service connecting the surrounding area.
By train
Hastings railway station is just a few minutes on foot from university building in Havelock Road. London to Hastings takes approximately one-and-a-half hours. Ashford International to Hastings takes around 45 minutes, Tunbridge Wells to Hastings takes 45 minutes and Eastbourne to Hastings takes approximately 30 minutes.
By car
From either the A21 or the A259, follow signs for Hastings town centre, then signs to either Priory Meadow car park or Priory Street car park. Alternatively, Hastings station car park is close to the university building.
Getting around Hastings
Hastings town centre and the seafront are both within walking and cycling distance of the university.
