Trustee Matching Project
The overall aim of this project is to encourage University staff and staff in local businesses to volunteer as trustees for voluntary organisations and community groups in Brighton and Hove.
Project Outline
The Trustees Project initially ran from June 2006 to July 2007. The overall aim of this project was to increase the numbers of well matched and prepared trustees from Brighton University and local businesses for voluntary organisations and community groups in the area.
The project addressed practical issues such as creating an information pack for organisations and potential trustees, providing training and support to people taking up trustee positions as well as matching potential trustees to voluntary organisations and community groups.
Get involved
To continue the work of the Trustee Project group and to bring community and voluntary sector organisation and potential trustees together, Cupp has set up a Trustee Matching Group on the Cupp Netwiork. The Trustee Matching Group offers an opportunity
* for University of Brighton staff, who are looking for an opportunity to support their local community while enhancing their own personal and professional development to search for suitable openings as a member of a board of trustees.
* for community and voluntary sector organisations looking for additional members for their board of trustees to advertise available positions for free with a view to recruiting University of Brighton staff.
