Bright Young Things
Bright Young Things - School of Service Management | 3VA
Bright Young Things is a recently established initiative that provides the opportunity for students, supervised by an academic, to work with local organisations on projects including marketing, promotion, communication, PR and web (social) based media. The project offers a live case study experience for students of the University as part of their studies informs teaching and assists local organisations in gaining new skills and knowledge. The project will work with 3VA in Eastbourne to provide assistance on marketing, publicity and promotion to voluntary organisations and charities in the Eastbourne area. 3VA is the Council for Voluntary Services in Eastbourne, Lewes and Wealden district, and the managing body for the Volunteer Centre East Sussex (VCES). It has a membership of more than 500 community and voluntary organisations (CVOs). A recent survey of the needs of the sector identified assistance with marketing, promotion and publicity a top priority amongst 49% of respondents. The project will provide a series of seminars on marketing for CVOs, alongside student supported partnerships.
