How your donations will help the project
By making donations to support the construction of a building to allow the community to open a simple day school for children aged 3-8 with four teachers and a cook/caretaker.
The initial cost of this project will be in the region of £20,000. A further £20,000 per year will be needed to maintain the school and to cover all running costs. Land for this project has been acquired, plans drawn up and the first stages of preparing the site have begun. The University of Brighton is seeking to generate funds from our staff, students, alumni, friends and partners as well as through sharing of our expertise and resources.
Gift aid and the government scheme

The University of Brighton is an exempt charity (Inland Revenue number XR7098) and all donations we receive qualify for Gift Aid, meaning your donation is worth 25 per cent more to the university. In order to Gift Aid your donation you must pay an amount of income and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that the university will claim from HMRC on your donations in that tax year.
