The University of Brighton is delighted to announce that it is one of the chosen providers to deliver the new EYPS contract commencing in January 2012.
The university will be delivering the programme as part of a consortium of six universities and training institutions, headed by the University of Chichester, offering training across London and the South East. The University of Brighton will be running the new Graduate Practitioner Pathway (GPP) and the Undergraduate Practitioner Pathway (UPP). We are now recruiting for September and welcome applications for both pathways.

Early Years Teacher
The coalition government has recently set out aims for the development of early years policy. In the document More Great Childcare the government has highlighted the development of a new graduate role in early years, Early Years Teacher Status.
View the More Great Childcare document on the DfE website.
The University of Brighton EYPS team is continuing to work within the South East EYPS consortium with the University of Chichester as Prime Organisation, and will be delivering the new Early Years Teacher programme from September 2013.
Please note that those wishing to progress onto the new Early Years Teacher route will need GCSE Maths, English Language, and Science at Grade 'C' or above (or equivalent). If you do not currently meet the GCSE requirements, we can offer an equivalence test.
We are holding an information and recruitment evening for the new Early Years Teacher programme on Tuesday 19th March, from 6-8pm. If you would like to attend this event, or have any other questions about the new Early Years Teacher Status programme, please email Helen Mclarent: h.l.mclaren@brighton.ac.uk
