Programme Structure

This two-year, part-time programme, is led by mathematics specialists within the University of Brighton. Course activities will be comprised of university tutor-led days during weekends and holidays, half-day action learning set style meetings twice a term during school time, independent school-based trial and exploration, including small CPD projects with your colleagues, and independent study.

Areas of Study

The programme consists of three main components: deepening subject knowledge, strengthening and developing pedagogical knowledge and developing your knowledge and experience of CPD approaches. You will explore theory underpinning learning and teaching and examine ‘big ideas’ in mathematics.
