Allocations for SKE routes have been confirmed for the current 2012/2013 cycle only. Allocations for SKE routes in 2013/2014 across all providers are currently under review by the Teaching Agency and there may well be significant changes. As a result, we are not currently considering offers which include SKE starting after September 2013. SKE offers in the current year are not affected.
These courses are for graduates who are interested in teaching but who need to develop their subject knowledge to teach mathematics, chemistry and design and technology in secondary schools.
Is this the course for me?
The enhancement courses are intended for graduates whose subject knowledge needs improving in order to begin their Initial Teacher Education (ITE). The University of Brighton is offering six or nine-month enhancement courses for aspiring teachers.
Upon your successful completion of an enhancement course, you are expected to go straight into an Initial Teacher Education course leading to qualified teacher status (QTS). The place can be at any institution including the University of Brighton.
